The Dukkah Company Cornwall

I first spoke to Jane at the Dukkah Company Cornwall three years ago at the Porthleven food festival. On asking her what photography she needed, she said “everything” and she wasn’t joking. This company is a wonderful example of the many different types of photography a business selling a food product should be thinking about.

Their first priority was high-quality pack shots of the products they were selling online, these images also doubled up for wholesalers’ websites and brochures. Lifestyle images of the product followed, these were used for editorials, marketing postcards, their website and social media content. It was vital for the business to show people what dukkah was and how to use it.

After the initial lifestyle images were taken we focused on a big food shoot for social media content, banners and her website. Focusing on foods which were photogenic and seasonal so that they could be used at different times during the year. We also shot the food with and without the packaging so that they could be used for different purposes.

We decided to use the Dukkah logo to watermark those food images that had no packaging, this ensured the company could be identified when shared on various social media platforms

Further shots were scheduled for new product launches and Christmas hampers. This required two different styles of photography, white pack shots for their website and the more stylised look that Not on the High Street required.

“Pip has done some brilliant work for my company. We needed pack shots for marketing and web use which we have been very pleased with. We then asked Pip to do some images showing our products being used/served and to create lifestyle images particularly for magazine use – we are delighted with the results. If you need some images for commercial use I would highly recommend getting in touch with Pip.”
